Solar panels contain silicon layers that produce electricity when sunlight hits them, even on cloudy days (see more here).
Panels have different outputs from 250 watts to around 330 watts per panel. The size of your total system will be dictated by the amount of roof space you have available.
The electricity from the panels is DC (direct current) and we install an Inverter to turn it to AC (Alternating Current) for use in your home.
We only use panels that have a manufacturer's 25 year output warranty to make sure you are producing free electricity for many years to come.
The amount of money you save on bills will increase each year as the price of electricity rises.
Not only that but the Government incentives are index linked and increase year on year (see below).

To incentivise people to have solar panels installed the Government brought out a scheme called the Feed-in Tariff. This means that you get paid to generate renewable electricity. You receive the payment for each kWh of electricity you make, even if you use it yourself. Any excess electricity is sent to the National Grid and you receive an extra incentive payment for this. See more about the Feed-in Tariff.
